Hi Andrew, as well as TeaCache, I’ve discovered that some of the ComfyUI-essentials nodes don’t load, even though they appear in the manager cache. This seems to be because they were developed before Comfy did a big revision of their architecture about a year ago and the libraries and APIs they used aren’t now supported. This is a pain as I wanted to try out nodes like Flux Sampler Parameters to compare samplers but this node isn’t available (I tried subscribing to comfy cloud but had the same issue). I suspect there are a lot of other node-packs listed in the comfy manager that will have the same issue – it would be helpful if they refreshed their list!
Do you have any thoughts about whether these nodes are gone for good for Colab users like me?
(Perhaps not for this section of the forum but I see some rgthree nodes don’t work properly on the new Comfy 2.0, which also appears to have other UI bugs).

Hi David, I just tested installing ComfyUI-Essentials on Google Colab and it was working. (I can add the Image Resize node) That was the only extension I installed so it might be a conflict with other custom nodes on your side.

Thanks, Andrew, I did some more investigation on this. Version 1.0.0 of the comfy-essentials pack doesn’t load Flux Sampler Parameters along with SamplerSelectHelper and ScheulerSelectHelper and TextEncodeforSamplerParamaters. The latest version, 1.1.0, does load Flux Sampler Parameters but not the others. This was in a clean install with no other custom nodes loaded. As you say, most of the other nodes in comfy essentials do load ok.
I wanted these nodes to try the comparison of samplers and schedulers that Matteo @latentvision (who I guess is the same Matteo that made comfy essentials) did a video on a year or so ago:

Comfy Manager provides a list of all the nodes in a pack and indicates where there are conflicts with other packs but it doesn’t identify nodes that fail to load like this. (In Comfy Cloud, attempting to load the workflow gives the error “these nodes aren’t available in Comfy Cloud yet” and suggests substituting nodes or changing the workflow). I’ve given feedback suggesting that it does do this. The new Comfy manager that they’ve just released looks like it could be good – maybe it will help with all this.
