I figured the safest way to install ComfyUI on my M1 Pro Mac would be following the instructions on the Stable Diffusion Art site. There are 2 places where I found instructions on how to do this. During the ComfyUI Course I’m taking and here, https://stable-diffusion-art.com/how-to-install-comfyui/#Installing_ComfyUI_on_Mac . Both of these have exactly the same info up to where I am now : Step 2. Confirm the Python version. I do not get 3.10 but Python 3.14.2. I have no idea why but I know this version is not recommended for Comfyui or Automatic1111. Now I am unsure about how to proceed.

I used this method for a couple of reasons but I am not entirely sure I am correct. I want to eventually have both Automatic1111 and ComfyUI working and if possible, sharing the same models folder in order to save space. I was under the impression they need to be in the same venv for this to work, but I am not a programmer and have limited skills using terminal.

I could, once again, use your advice.

I think my post was premature. I read further down and say that the Venv gets created later. I looked up how to force the venv to use python3.10.19 and it worked. After that smooth sailing.
If anything messes up I will post again.
