Hi i am trying to understand how the different items work to do what.

What is the difference of the Checkpoint nodes and IPs I am a bit confused when DL things in how or what I would use each one for?

Hi, I don’t quite get what you are asking. By IP, do you mean Image Prompt adapter? Are you referring to a comfyui workflow or a general technical question?

I dot know the difference of the different things like a Checkpoint VS other items

 

Like what his the difference of a Checkpoint and instant ID or Photo Makes or other things.

I am trying to understand what each one dose, Wha do I need a checkpoint and another things like the instant ID nodes.

Playing with instant ID so far I am not get good results everything I do look like a cartoon no matter what I put in and it changes my input image to something completely different.

I would like to keep the photo look with just the effect applied to that image but not making a different version if it.

A checkpoint model is a Stable Diffusion model which generates images from text.

Instant ID is an add-on model to a checkpoint model to copy faces. You cannot use instant id on its own. It has to be used with a checkpoint model. (Same for photo maker)

Re: not getting good result with instant ID: Try using it with a realistic model (e.g. Juggernaut XL) and a realistic prompt. Use a high res picture.
