Considering the amount of images I generate in a weekend, I wonder whether SD3 is really worth it for me if Stability AI’s business model should actually stick with the credits to be purchased permanently. Taking into account my current percentage of 90% worthless images, I would have to calculate 2000 credits per weekend that I generate images. With the cheapest SD3 tariff and 90% failure, that’s 60 images in the end that are usable in 1024 x 1024. Editing these images with the best upscaling would be another 1500 credits. So I would be looking at a cost of $35 for 60 good pictures per weekend. I’m currently particularly interested in how far I can base SD3 on my experiences with SD Forge and SDXL. I would be grateful for information about how it actually behaves and what it actually costs.

The credit API is not worth it if you need to generate a large number of images. The NSFW filter is overly sensitive so in many cases, more than half of the credits are wasted.

SD3 has just been released. I will take a look and write a guide to run it locally.
