Various instructions on this site refer to the ‘ComfyUI_windows_portable’ folder, but that doesn’t exist on Linux, i.e. Thinkdiffusion.com (which I joined per your recommendation). So where is, for example, InsightFace installed?

Also, there is no ComfyUI ‘ipadapter’ subfolder in ‘models’ on thinkdiffusion, and creating the directory doesn’t seem to do much (it’s hard to say because there is no terminal access, and their file system is really basic). There is a ‘ComfyUI_IPAdapter_plus’ in ‘custom_nodes’, so maybe it’s that? Please advise.

Hi Rogier, please reach out to the thinkdiffusion folk’s support team. They should be able to correct the issue.

On a local installation, you must create the ipadapter folder AND restart ComfyUI to take effect. You can see if restarting the server works for you.

You can ignore the CmfyUI_windows_portable folder if you are on Linux. That only applies to a Windows installation with the standalone installer.

Hi Andrew, ask them to correct which part exactly? The missing ‘ipadapter’ directory? And if the Windows folder doesn’t apply, where is InsightFace installed?

You can ask them if ipadapter is supported. If you don’t have access to their environment, they should have InsightFace installed for you. You can point them to my article for installation.
