I built a few face Loras based on the advice on this site and had good results using A1111 to inpaint to existing photos. However, when I tried again recently I got unsightly outlines around the areas where I drew a mask. I don’t think this happened before and I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong.

Is there any way of removing these? What are the best settings for doing this kind of face swap Lora process?

I do have adetailer and controlnet in there but this happens where I have them enabled or not, and whether I have denoising set to 0.7 or 1 (below that just produces a blur).

Hi! I don’t recall seeing this artifact. You can try the new soft inpainting feature in A1111. Increase mask blur to 20 or more. You can use high denoising strength.

          (tutorial coming soon)
